As the lyrics of the song state: What a difference a day makes, these
puppies have grown so much, you can see what a big difference 14 days
makes.
Their eyes are fully opened to see, and they can also now hear.
They are able to walk, although slowly. Still lacking total strength and
control, it is so comical to watch as they suddenly topple over as their legs
give out or they lose their balance.
They are just beginning to play a bit with each other and be aware of
people. The puppies will sometimes even give a short wag of their tail when
spoken to. Having more than tripled their birth weight, they are
approaching the four pound range.
This week they have had their very first taste of puppy food and loved it.
With this solid food now being introduced into the pups diet, mom will be
making herself a little less available for nursing as part of the weaning
process.
