The pups seem pretty tired themselves.

Brazin was scheduled to have a Cesarean section on Friday
morning, Feb. 15th. I was monitering her with special prenatal
equipment to evaluate the contractions. Friday, Saturday and
most of Sunday came and went without any signs of her
contractions being strong enough to deliver the pups. Finally,
before turning in for the night I made one more check with the
monitorring machine to find that her contractions were getting
stronger. My vet felt it was better to deliver the pups then,
rather then waiting for the morning. So at 1am early Monday
morning - which was her actual due date - my brother Mark,
and I brought Brazin to the Dr.s office.
Never having had any of my females deliver by C- section
before, this was a very exciting (albeit stressful) venture.
With a C-section the pups are all born very quickly, so extra
hands are needed to help clean and stimulate them to get them
to take their first breaths. So we were able to help. It was
facinating, enlightening, awesome, and all that, but I hope I
never have to have another dog deliver that way again.
Fortunately, Brazin probably won't.
Around 4:00 in the moming, after Brazin awoke from the
anesthesia, , Mark, the vet staff (sorry guys), the new mom,
puppies, and I were ready to call it a night and head home for
bed.
Brazin's pups are all a good birth weight and are very
healthy. They are all good eaters, and Brazin is a very
attentive mom.
