The pups seem pretty tired themselves.

Hard to believe that Brazin's litter has already
reached the 2 week milestone. As they say, " Time flys
when you are having fun". And I am. Watching the
pups grow bigger and stronger each day and
witnessing their comical attempts at walking,
standing, and getting around is a privilege and a joy. I
try to share this experience with others by putting so
many pictures on this site. I want everyone to share
in this joy by being able to follow the process of these
little balls of fur growing into beautiful golden
retriever puppies, who will give so much happiness to
whomever they meet. Because the pictures are so
numerous and I can't display them all, I have taken
videos of the babies too. So look for the link above
taking you to Youtube.
Brazin's puppies have more than doubled their
weight since they were born. I think they are trying
to catch up with their half-siblings from Butterscotch's
litter so they will be allowed to play together.
We'll see...
In addition to exercising their legs trying to get
around, they are also very active in experimenting
with the use of their vocal chords. They do seem to
have this new endeavor down pat though.
Fortunately, they still sleep most of the time, so
there are only short bouts of this vociferous activity
through out the day.

Time to be weighed

When Brazin came home from the vet with her new puppies, I gave them their own private bedroom upstairs, where it was secluded and quiet from the other activities in the house. There, Brazin could recouperate from her C-section serenely and get to care for her new babies. without any distractions. However, with her

puppies almost 2 weeks old and Butterscotch's approaching the 3 week mark, it was apparant that she now wanted to be downstairs with everybody. She would go up to the room, check on her babies, and then immediately come back down. A few minutes later, she would repeat the process. This went on throughout the day. With her constant trips downstairs and Butterscotch's many trips upstairs to check Brazin's pups, I decided it was time to let the 2 moms become roomates. I moved them all downstairs to the living room to the whelping box with Butterscotch. Brazin and Butterscotch are good friends and although the litters have their own separate quarters, both mom's keep an eye on each other's offspring.
