The 7 week mark began another very busy time
for the puppies. It started out with a visit for
some, to a photo studio, where one of the pups
will be on the package of Petsmart puppy treats.
Later this week others will be visiting another
studio for more puppy poses, for some other
photo project.
In addition to all that activity, they were

back in the car again, for their visit to the veterinarians office for a health
checkup. As before, they were still not too keen on the long car ride, but
when they arrived at the office, and started receiving so much attention,
they soon were happy again, wagging their tails excitedly, and kissing
everybody's faces.
They also met another new person at my house - my friend Pat. Pat
came over to administer the Puppy Aptitude Test. The PAT test (too
many Pats) is a tool which tests behavioral tendencies with will help
determine which puppy is best for each family.
With the pups now 2 weeks older, they are weighing in the 9 to 10 pound
rate. Isn't is amazing how quickly they grow? As they grow and get
more active, it becomes very difficult to take good pictures. Whenever
anyone approaches the pups' pen, they all come running over to say
hello. So candid stills are scant and action shots are blurry. It really
gives one a real appreciation for professional photographers.
When hanging out here at home, I play a CD of sounds. It has many
different noises like traffic, thunder storms, babies, etc. which help the
puppies become familiar with these strange sounds, so as not to be
frightened.
This week, they also have been wearing regular collars occasionally, to
help get them used to the ones their families will have them wear then they
are in their new homes.

It's incredible, how much the pups have grown in just 7 weeks.

That's not fair. Just because I was born first doesn't have to make it that I have to be be checked first too.

Hey guys, don't be so pushy. You'll be back in the house soon enough.
