At almost 2 weeks old you can see a big difference in the puppie's
faces, size, and activity. Their eyes are well on their way to being
fully opened. Their noses are now black and their ears, no longer
flat, have fallen into the normal position. Their bodies are starting to
fill in, as well as their fur. A benchmark in their development, is to
have them double their weight by 10 days, and this litter has met
that goal. So needless to say they are growing very well.
These little furballs are getting around better now, but still struggling
and mostly crawling. Their legs just aren't strong enough yet, to
hold them up for any length of time. It is so funny to watch them
try to walk on all fours. They will take a few steps, then comically
fall back down, as if they were imbibing some of those wines they
are named after.

For the most part, the puppies are still
pretty quiet. It is only once in a while that
one of them will start squawking about
some unknown dissatisfaction - sometimes
even while in a deep sleep. I must enjoy
that silence now though, because it won't
be too long before they all make their
presence known verbally, on a regular basis.
