| The puppies are now 6 weeks of age. They are almost ready to go into their new homes and meet their new moms, dads, and other human and animal family members. Hang in there guys only 1 more week. When awake they are quite active. They chase, bite, bark, and interact with each other. They love when someone comes near their box and will give the cutest look to convince the onlooker to pick them up. I gotta tell ya, they do succeed quite often. Well - who can resist a cuddly puppy in their arms? They are entering actively into the nipping stage. Although a normal part of thier developement, when in their new households they will learn soon that this is not an acceptable behavior. In the meantime though, watch your toes! They presently weigh between 7 and 9 pounds. Their diet is now the totally hard kibbles, just like mom eats. |

| In these pictures, my friend Pat is administering the PAT test to the puppies. Excuse the pun but that is the name of the test standing for Puppy Aptitude Test by Volhard. This test was developed to help test behavioral tendencies and predict what a puppy will be like as as adult. Along with my own observations of the litter these past several weeks, this testing will help the buyer in making their choice of a puppy depending on their situation. |
