| JUST WEIGHT A MINUTE Some puppies are contents to just relax while being weighed, Some entertain themselves by treating the basket as a chew toy. and others just say LET ME OUTTA HERE!!! |
| At four and a half weeks, the puppies are getting more active every day. They spend their waking hours playing with each other, or toys. Sometimes, yes even at nighttime, they decide they are not happy with their situation and start howling in protest. At times it is because they want out of the whelping box to be held by whoever is available. Other times though, they will cry for no apparent reason. I guess Maple knows, but she ain't talking. Most of their time is still spent sleeping. They have been eating total puppy food now, but the morsals are softened a bit. They are taking to this changeover quite nicely and are all good eaters.They are starting to get used to water, but grab a drink from mom whenever she lets them. The barracades have had to be raised to full height now, to prevent any escape artists from going on a mystery tour of my house. |
