| As the song title states: What a difference a day makes. Well, these puppies have grown so much, You can see what a big difference 14 days make. Their eyes are fully opened and they can hear. They are now able to walk, slowly. Still lacking total strength and control, it is so comical to watch as they suddenly topple over, as their legs give out or they lose their balance. They are just beginning to play a bit with each other and be aware of people. The puppies will sometimes even give a short wag of their tail when spoken to. They have more than tripled their birth weight and are in the 4 pound range. This week they have had their first taste of puppy food and loved it. Mom will be making herself less available for nursing as part of the weaning process. |
