In the pictures to the left, the puppies are having their very first meals. In just the 4 days from the 1st picture to the next one, they have learned what that messy slop, they slip in, is all about. They have now totally gotten the idea, and are very pleased, and come right over, when I bring them their dish. As much as they like it though, they will not miss an opportunity to grab mom whenever she ventures into the box. Hold cursor over picture.

The puppies are now 4 weeks old and they are experiencing so many new things. They tasted their first solid meal this past
week. It consisted of a gruel made primarily of oatmeal with some ground dog kibble, vitamins +, and yogurt. It took a few
meals before they became enthused about it. Mommy milk is a strong contender in the food department. With mom's more
frequent absences though, they are realizing that this new food is actually good stuff, and starting to prefer it over mom. Reilly
is not off the hook yet with her food detail though, as they still eagerly run over to her to nurse, when she enters the box. Her
milk supply will slowly start to decrease, which helps the pups loose interest. Shortly, they will have their first taste of plain
water. That's when more fun begins for them, as they realize they can not only drink it, but swim in it too!
Their box has been opened up to 2 rooms now, with a bathroom area set up, to encourage them do their business away from
their play/sleeping area. They are doing very well learning this, although at times they make mistakes. This faux grass will help
them with housebreaking, and understanding what to do when they actually go outside to potty.
They are starting to play with the many new toys in the box and with each other. They are much more active than they were
the past two weeks, but they still get around pretty slowly, as they have not totally mastered the walking thing.
They all respond when I call them by the name "puppies" and will come toward me to be picked up and pet.
The puppies have twice as much space as before with the addition of a bathroom area added. Hold cursor over picture.
