The puppies are now walking,
and their eyes are fully
opened.  They have become
aware of their siblings and
love to just start chewing on
someone's ear or foot when
the other is most
unsuspecting -  many times
while still sleeping.   They  
started on solid food this
week.  It is a mashed gruel of
oatmeal and puppy food with
a few extra additives.  They
love it.   Of course,  they are
still nursing from mom
several times a day but she
will be allowing it less and
less as they get older.  Their
teeth are very sharp and
nursing is  not too pleasant  
for mom now.

But at this age there is nothing like
good old mom's milk.  
The pups are having their first tastes of
solid food.   It's a winner.
Mom goes in to clean up the leftovers
while the pups quench their thirst.
