| Well the long awaited day is fast approaching with only a few days left before the little chee-toes (like the pun) are pitter pattering in their new homes. They have made their first trip this week to the outside world when they visited the vet for their checkup. Although not too happy about the car ride, the puppies were soon appeased by all the attention they received by the staff and patrons in the doctor's office. "Grandma" Topaz underwent an emergency spaying this week and even with the trauma and pain she still insists on being with the puppies. Since she should not continue to nurse them during her recouperation period, she is all bundled in clothing to prevent this from happening. Kali's pups aren't too pleased at this turn of events but at this age, they don't need to nurse anymore for nourishment and it would be just "comfort food" for them - so to speak. |
